N100: Ready for the Future

Brussels continues to evolve and N22, the network of Brussels community centres, is moving with the city. We recently called on Brussels residents to participate in our N100, a unique initiative to shape the future of our community centres. We dream about the city together, each from a specific perspective. We listen. Based on all these stories, we give more direction to our mission.
What is the N100? A peek into our internal kitchen.
The N100 brings together one hundred Brussels residents, selected by lottery, to reflect the diversity of our city as well as possible. After an intense search, we found the perfect mix of participants:
- Half of them are non-users of community centres;
- Every Brussels municipality is represented, with at least 2 participants per municipality;
- A nice spread in age;
- At least 40 per cent have no higher education;
- At least 30 per cent have a mother tongue other than Dutch;
- And at least 40 per cent indicate that they sometimes have difficulties with family income.
A heartwarming response
Over the past few weeks, we spoke to many of these participants and the commitment was palpable. Their enthusiasm to help think about the future of our community centres was heartwarming.
Towards the future
Our first meeting will take place at GC De Kriekelaar (Schaarbeek) on 20 April, and the second at GC De Kroon (Sint-Agatha-Berchem) on 18 May. We look forward with anticipation to what these meetings will bring.

Wat een geweldige energie tijdens onze N100-bijeenkomsten! Samen met zo'n honderdtal superdiverse Brusselaars hebben we onze gedachten laten sprankelen over de stad, elk vanuit een speficieke bril.
