Are you between 16 and 26 years of age and totally into performance, DJ'ing or storybuilding? If so, you're in the right place. Check out the open calls for the three programmes below and put in your application no later than 20 October 2024 (extended).

PERFORMANCE

Interested in working with other young people to create a street performance? If so, this programme is exactly what you're looking for!

We will be focusing on wordless performances in public spaces. The performance can go in many directions and we will challenge you with dazzling choreography, dance moves and parkour techniques.

Artists and coaches will work with you to teach you techniques, create the performance and also perform it during the Visueel Festival Visuel (VFV) in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe.

The programme starts in early November and finishes during the VFV on 29 June 2025. For a whole season, you will receive professional support in both content and production, to achieve an end result that will be seen by an audience.

The performance programme will be based at GC De Kroon, in collaboration with Circus Zonder Handen, MoVart, Danscentrum Jette, JH De Kuub, the dance collective Boom Clap Nation and Zinnema. Together, they will provide the best coaches, materials and links.

During the programme, there will be times when the whole group comes together under the guidance of a coach. There will also be coaches with specific expertise, such as in circus techniques.

DJ'ING

Interested in getting some professional support and in sharing expertise focusing specifically on DJs? Putting together a DJ set, stage experience and organising events?

The music programme focuses on DJs and on organising events. Artists and coaches will work with you and guide you to create your DJ set and teach you how to organise events. We will look and see what you need the most to develop your career and will help you reach the top together.

The programme starts on 30 October and finishes in May 2025. For a whole season, you will receive professional support in both content and production, to achieve an end result that will be seen by an audience.

CIRCUIT's music programme will be based at the GC Essegem, in collaboration with 96, GC De Vaartkapoen, Bruzz ICE and ENTREE. Together, they will provide the best venues, coaches and assistance to bring your project to fruition.

During the programme, there will be times when the whole group comes together under the guidance of a coach. The coaches will be Rrita Jashari, WhiteWash from 96 and Ivan Diaz. Together, you will organise an event at the end of the programme so that you can present the projects to an audience.

Be sure to keep the following dates and times free in your diary: 30/10 (from 6pm) an d 13/11 (from 6pm).

STORYBUILDING

Are you thinking about the challenges of the future and looking to write about them? If so, Writing a Future may be something for you.

Writing a Future's multilingual workshops focus on imagination, speculation, doubts and desires and involve talking, playing, working and discovering practices as a means of formulating possible futures, both individually and collectively. By working in that way, you will end up producing a story that matches your intention, process and vision of the world, making you no longer an observer, but an actor.

The programme starts in early November and finishes in May 2025. For a whole season, you will receive professional support in both content and production, to achieve an end result that will be seen by an audience. The form of that end result will be decided on together.

The storybuilding programme will be based at GC Pianofabriek, in collaboration with MuntPunt, Passa Porta and Mix-Up npo. Together, they will provide personal and content-related support, as well as a few outings to partner organisations in the literary field.

The programme consists of a series of group sessions and workshops involving about ten participants. The working languages will be English and French, with simultaneous translation into Dutch if desired. Participants can write in Dutch, English or French. In between each of the workshops, writing assignments will be provided. The facilitators will work to create a group of people who are able to support each other throughout the process and present their work together.
