PERFORMANCE

Would you like to collaborate with other (beginning) artists to create a performance for public spaces? Apply for CIRCUIT!

We focus on wordless performance(s) in public spaces. The performance will emerge from a co-creation process and can take various directions. You don’t need circus experience, but artistic experience in other disciplines is a plus!

This program is offered in the form of a residency week from Monday, May 26 to Friday, May 30. We meet each day during the daytime, and accommodation is not provided. The residency will take place at GC De Kroon.

During this week, you will create a performance with the group, guided by an artistic coach, for the VisueelFestivalVisuel in Sint-Agatha-Berchem. CIRCUIT provides professional support, both in content and production, and helps you further develop your portfolio.

The performance program is organized by GC De Kroon and is supported by Circus Zonder Handen, MoVart, Danscentrum Jette, and Zinnema.

DJ'ING

Interested in getting some professional support and in sharing expertise focusing specifically on DJs? Putting together a DJ set, stage experience and organising events?

The music programme focuses on DJs and on organising events. Artists and coaches will work with you and guide you to create your DJ set and teach you how to organise events. We will look and see what you need the most to develop your career and will help you reach the top together.

The programme starts on 30 October and finishes in May 2025. For a whole season, you will receive professional support in both content and production, to achieve an end result that will be seen by an audience.

CIRCUIT's music programme will be based at the GC Essegem, in collaboration with 96, GC De Vaartkapoen, Bruzz ICE and ENTREE. Together, they will provide the best venues, coaches and assistance to bring your project to fruition.

During the programme, there will be times when the whole group comes together under the guidance of a coach. The coaches will be Rrita Jashari, WhiteWash from 96 and Ivan Diaz. Together, you will organise an event at the end of the programme so that you can present the projects to an audience.

Be sure to keep the following dates and times free in your diary: 30/10 (from 6pm) an d 13/11 (from 6pm).

STORYBUILDING

Are you thinking about the challenges of the future and looking to write about them? If so, Writing a Future may be something for you.

Writing a Future's multilingual workshops focus on imagination, speculation, doubts and desires and involve talking, playing, working and discovering practices as a means of formulating possible futures, both individually and collectively. By working in that way, you will end up producing a story that matches your intention, process and vision of the world, making you no longer an observer, but an actor.

The programme starts in early November and finishes in May 2025. For a whole season, you will receive professional support in both content and production, to achieve an end result that will be seen by an audience. The form of that end result will be decided on together.

The storybuilding programme will be based at GC Pianofabriek, in collaboration with MuntPunt, Passa Porta and Mix-Up npo. Together, they will provide personal and content-related support, as well as a few outings to partner organisations in the literary field.

The programme consists of a series of group sessions and workshops involving about ten participants. The working languages will be English and French, with simultaneous translation into Dutch if desired. Participants can write in Dutch, English or French. In between each of the workshops, writing assignments will be provided. The facilitators will work to create a group of people who are able to support each other throughout the process and present their work together.
